Since it is my 37th birthday, I am going to do something I’ve always felt like trying and double post
The bus came by and I got on and that’s when it all began in the early 1990’s. Like many of white suburbia youths, I was flipflopping between metal and rap before external stimuli began my retrograding into psychedelic rock. I found so much “new” music for me and loved it all. But none of those mind blowing album listenings really prepared me for what it was to go see the Grateful Dead in concert where you can see clear through to another day
Here are a couple of great videos from their show down in Veneta at the Oregon Country Fairgrounds.
Grateful Dead “China Cat Sunflower” (OFFICIAL VIDEO) from “Sunshine Daydream” (via gratefuldead)
“Jack Straw” – Sunshine Daydream (Veneta, OR 8/27/72) (via gratefuldead)
If you like these videos, I would wsuggest you watch the whole video “Sunshine Daydream” so you can really get into the groove of this.
This song (sadly not a true live video) is one that’s been on my mind all week.
Since the best Dead is in a show, here’s a Capitol Theater show. I’m going to see Phil Lesh & Friends out there in April.
